shoo-fly cake (molasses crumb)
Very much the same as Pennsylvania Dutch shoo-fly pie, just without the crust and wet bottom. Very moist! This can also be made into cupcakes, bake for about 30 minutes. Yummy for breakfast!

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 cup crisco
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 2 cups boiling water
How To Make shoo-fly cake (molasses crumb)

Step 1Mix together flour, brown sugar, and Crisco to make crumbs. Reserve 1cup crumbs for topping.

Step 2Mix together remaining crumbs with remaining ingredients to make batter. Batter will be runny.

Step 3Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Top with reserved crumbs

Step 4Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until cake tests done.
