Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix (18.25oz.)
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 3 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons imitation rum extract
- 1 cup walnuts
- RUM SAUCE
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup half and half
- 2 teaspoons imitation rum extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
How To Make rum cake

Step 1Beat all ingredients (except walnuts) on low in large bowl of electric mixer 30 seconds or until moistened. Beat on high 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.

Step 2Grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan; sprinkle with the walnuts. Pour batter on top of nuts.

Step 3Bake in a 350 degree F oven 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes; invert on wire rack to cool completely . Drizzle with sauce.

Step 4For the rum sauce; in medium saucepan, gently boil brown sugar and butter 1 minute. Add half and half. Gently boil a few more seconds. Remove from heat; add extract and salt. Makes 1 cup.
