Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 - eggs
- 1/2 cup cut up dates
How To Make romance cake

Step 1Mix and pat into 8 x 8 pan, pricking with fork to prevent blisters, the first 3 ingredients. Bake at 350* for 15 minutes. Mix the next 9 ingredients, and spread on first mixture. Bake 20 minutes more and serve with whipped cream, or a powdered sugar , orange juice and butter icing.
