FILLING

16 ozcream cheese, softened

2 cconfectioners' sugar
-
1/2 stickunsalted butter, softened

4 Tbspwhite chocolate liqueur

1 tsppure vanilla extract

1 Tbspheavy cream

FROSTING
-
3 stickunsalted butter, softened
-
4 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar
-
3 Tbspheavy cream
-
4 1/2 Tbspwhite chocolate liqueur

2 tsppure vanilla extract
How to Make Red Velvet Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour three 8 inch cake pans
- CAKE BATTER:
Cream sugar and butter together then add eggs one at a time and mix well after each - In a small bowl mix water, cocoa, and food coloring together then add to batter and mix well
- Gently stir flour, salt, and baking powder together in a separate bowl, then add flour mixture to batter alternating with buttermilk, then stir in vanilla
- In a small bowl, whisk together baking soda and vinegar and add to cake batter
- Pour batter evenly into three pans and bake at for 20 to 25 minutes then remove from heat and cool completely
- FILLING:
Cream together butter and cream cheese, gradually add sugar, stir in vanilla, liqueur and heavy cream then beat till fluffy - FROSTING:
Cream butter and vanilla together, add confectioners sugar alternating with liqueur and heavy cream and beat to desired consistency
