I made up a yellow cake and didn't have fresh strawberries so I came up with this.

How To Make quick strawberry short cake

Step 1

This is such an easy and good dessert. I baked a Duncan hines yellow cake, but any flavor will due. I cut it into squares and placed the servings into bowls.

Step 2

Placed pie filling on top and down the sides. Then topped with my favorite whipped topping. Fresh strawberries are the best but this wonderful pie filling sure was fine.
