    butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • PUMPKIN LAYER

    pumpkin puree, 15 oz
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 3 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • CRUMB TOPPING

  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    softened butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 c
    reserved spice cake mix

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Crumb Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray or grease one 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Reserve 1 cup cake mix. In a large bowl, combine the remaining dry cake mix with 1 egg, 1/2 cup melted butter, vegetable oil, and water. Mix well, and then pat into prepared pan.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix together the pumpkin, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour over crust.
  5. In a small bowl, combine reserved 1 cup cake mix, 1/2 cup sugar, and 4 tablespoons softened butter and cinnamon.
  6. Crumble over pumpkin filling.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
