I had an idea for some things in the pantry and made this cake last night. We loved it and hope that you will too.

While this pumpkin apple cinnamon caramel cake is baking you can't help but think of fall. This recipe stars with a boxed pumpkin cake mix that gets jazzed up with apples and cinnamon chips. The apples make the cake very moist. Drizzling melted caramel candies over the top is a delicious final touch.

Ingredients

  • 1 box pumpkin cake mix, plus ingredients per the box (15.25 oz)
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped into small chunks
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cups cinnamon chips
  • 1 cup caramel bits, can use caramels
  • 2 teaspoons water

How To Make pumpkin apple cinnamon caramel cake

  • Prepare cake batter according to package directions.
    Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix cake mix as directed on the box.
  • Stir apple chunks and cinnamon chips into the batter.
    Step 2
    Stir in apple chunks and cinnamon chips.
  • Pour into a greased and buttered Bundt pan.
    Step 3
    Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan.
  • Bake the cake for 40 - 45 minutes.
    Step 4
    Bake for about 40-45 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 20 minutes.

  • Turn cake out of the pan onto a serving platter.

    Turn out onto a serving platter.
  • Melt caramels with water until a drizzling consistency.
    Step 7
    Melt caramel with water in the microwave until pouring/drizzling consistency, about 90 seconds).
  • Pour melted caramels over the cake.
    Step 8
    Pour over the cooled cake.
