plain sour cream cake
This is pretty much a Pound Cake recipe. I have no idea why my Meema called it Plain.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter, at room temperature
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs at room temperature
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 (8 oz) package sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/3 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon orange flavoring
How To Make plain sour cream cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Butter and flour a tube pan.

Step 2Mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3Add 1 egg at a time, beating well between each egg.

Step 4Sift flour with salt and baking soda.

Step 5Add sifted flour mixture alternately with sour cream, starting with flour and ending with flour. Beat well.

Step 6Stir in the lemon extract and orange flavoring.

Step 7Bake in prepared tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
