One of my favorite banana cakes...this cake is to die for...so very moist...the frosting is killer too!! Photo's are mine

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe bananas mashed - about 4 medium
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • FROSTING
  • 5 - 6 tablespoons peanut butter or more if stronger flavor is desired
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup milk or till desired consistancy

How To Make banana cake w/ peanut butter frosting

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.
  • Step 2
    Beat in bananas and vanilla.
  • Step 3
    In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
  • Step 5
    For frosting: In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter and butter until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar and enough milk for desired consistency.
  • Step 6
    Spread onto the cake. Enjoy this very moist, delicious cake. It's so, so yummy!
