blueberry peach crunch dessert

I had an old recipe laying around. I used to make a different version for years. I thought I would put a twist on it with peaches. I also altered the recipe slightly. This is really yummy. Top with vanilla ice cream for a real treat. enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter divided
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh chopped in small pieces. peeled and pit removed peaches
  • 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar divided
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 20 ounces can of crushed pineapple

How To Make blueberry peach crunch dessert

  • Step 1
    heat oven to 350 degree's Butter the bottom and inside walls of a 9x13 inch pan. Pour Crushed pineapple on bottom of pan. Do not drain juice from it. Spread evenly.
  • Step 2
    Mix the blueberries with the chopped peaches. Toss peaches,and berries in 1 tablespoon of butter.coat well. Add a 1/4 cup of brown sugar,and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to berries,and peaches. mix to coat.
  • Step 3
    pour berry peach mixture over the pineapple evenly. Mix 1/2 cup of pecans in with the yellow cake mix. Sprinkle the dry cake mix with pecans over the peach berry mixture in pan.
  • Step 4
    Melt 1/2 cup of butter,and drizzle over the dry cake mix in pan. Mix 1 cup of chopped pecans with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Mix together with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Sprinkle on top of cake mix. Press down slightly with back of spoon. Place in oven and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    cool completely. Scoop and serve. optional: May serve with vanilla ice cream. Note: These are best served cold.
