This is a delicious recipe that came from a friend of my parents.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 sticks butter-softened
  • 4 - eggs--add 1 at a time
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • **PLACE IN A COLD OVEN**

How To Make pat's pound cake

  • Step 1
    Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside. Cream butter and sugar in an electric mixer. Add eggs ONE at a time mixing well in between. Slowly add the flour mixture mixing well. Pour in the milk slowly while the mixer is running then add the vanilla and mix well. Place in a tube pan that has been greased.
  • Step 2
    Place in a COLD 325* oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
