This recipe was given to me years ago and somehow I misplaced it. I finally found it and wanted to share it with all of you. It's good in the mornings with a cup of coffee.

Ingredients

3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 cup oil
1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 (10 oz) jar of poppyseed filling

How to Make Pap's Poppyseed Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease a 10 inch tube/bundt pan
  • 2Mix together the flour, salt, baking soda and sugar. Set aside In another bowl beat eggs until light and fluffy. Stir in oil, evaporated milk and vanilla
  • 3Slowly stir the wet ingredients into the dry until they're combined. Mix in the jar of poppyseed filling.
  • 4Pour into prepared pan. Bake 50 - 60 minutes until golden brown. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove and allow to continue cooling.
