- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 1/2 cups flour(self rising)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup regular sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup pet milk
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut

Step 1POUR BOILING WATER OVER OATS AND LET STAND WHILE MIXING THE FOLLOWING: SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, CINNAMON; ADD SUGARS, EGGS & OIL. THEN ADD OATMEAL MIXTURE.

Step 2MIX WELL AND PUT IN GREASED 8 x 12 PAN AND BAKE AT 350 FOR 30 TO 40 MINUTES

Step 3TOPPING: BOIL TOGETHER 1/2 C. SUGAR, 1 C. PET MILK, 1 STICK MARGARINE, 1 tsp VANILLA, 1 EGG, 1/2 C.COCONUT, 1/2 C. PECANS. COOK UNTIL AT PUDDING CONSISTENCY AND POUR OVER WARM CAKE. GOOD WARM OR COLD. FREEZES WELL TOO.
