nan's spicey butterscotch custard cake

This is a bit like a pumpkin dump cake and a bread pudding. Had these items on hand and came up with this easy dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 large 4.6oz. vanilla cook and serve pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk, 2%
  • 1 - duncan hines spice cake mix
  • 1 package 12oz. butterscotch morsels

How To Make nan's spicey butterscotch custard cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. On the stovetop In a medium saucepan mix your pudding and milk and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat and add your dry cake mix into pudding and blend. Pour into a 13x9 pan and sprinkle butterscotch morsels all over top of mix.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until cake tests done in the center. Remove from oven and let cool. Serve.
