Ingredients

3 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon soda
4 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla (or other preferred flavoring)
1 dash salt

How To Make mother in law buttermilk cake

Step 1

Cream together sugar, butter and eggs.

Step 2

Separately sift flour, soda and salt. Add gradually to cream mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add flavoring.
Step 3

Pour into tube pan and bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
