  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp
    soda
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla (or other preferred flavoring)
  • 1 dash(es)
    salt

How to Make Mother in law Buttermilk Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream together sugar, butter and eggs.
  2. Separately sift flour, soda and salt. Add gradually to cream mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add flavoring.
  3. Pour into tube pan and bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
