How to Make Mom's Scrummy Brownies
1Beat together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
2Add chocolate syrup, flour, nutmeats (optional) and baking powder; beat until thoroughly blended.
3Pour into a 9" x 13" cake pan and bake 35-40 minutes at 350° F.
4For the glaze:
Place butter, milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boil on medium heat for 3 1/2 to 4 minutes or until it reaches 236° F on a candy thermometer.
5Remove from heat and add chocolate chips.
6Spread onto brownies while they are still warm.
