moms pound cake
This cake is AWESOME!! My mom made this for us at Thanksgiving and Christmas!! It was a tradition, sure miss her during these times, but we carry them on for her!!! Hope you enjoy!!!

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 - eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup commercial egg nog
- 1 cup cocnut
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
How To Make moms pound cake

Step 1Cream butter and Crisco; gradually add sugar, beating well after each. Add eggs one at a time, beating well agter each egg. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with eggnog, beginning and ending with flour and making sure it is blended after each. Stir in coconut and vanilla, lemon, coconut extracts. Pour batter in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove and place on plate. I then poke holes with toothpick and make a glaze of Confectioner sugar and milk. Enjoy very good!!
