The original recipe called for the topping to be broiled, but I wanted to do some thing a little different, and I really like the way it turned out so wanted to share with you. I don't double the topping recipe.
Put all ingredients in mixer bowl and mix together.
2These were not put in the recipe but must be added.
Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 2 eggs and 1 1/2 cup boiling water---this will be very thin batter.
3Mix up the topping and drop into the batter with a tablespoon. leaving a space in between. when you have the topping all in the batter, put in oven and bake for 60 min. This is a great cake and each serving will have a bit of the topping in each one. It doesn't need to be frosted but you could serve with cool whip or Ice Cream.
