This is a recipe a friend gave me years ago but I only tried it just recently. It was delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 6 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar (i used apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    cold water
  • ·
    confectioners sugar for garnish

How to Make Moist Chocolate Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375*
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients. Using a spoon make 3 wells in the dry ingredients. Pour oil into one, vinegar into the other and vanilla into the third. Slowly pour water over all . Mix on low speed till thoroughly mixed (batter will be thin).
  3. Pour into a greased and floured 8 inch square (or 9 inch round) baking dish. Bake at 375* for 30-35 minutes. or till a toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Dust with confectioners sugar.
