Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 tablespoon sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup raspberries
How To Make homemade raspberry cake

Step 1Heat oven to 400. Lightly spray a 9" cake pan w/ cooking spray. In bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and baking soda, ( you can add a pinch of salt too.)

Step 2In another bowl, beat butter and 2/3 cup sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg. Beat in flour mis, alternating w/ buttermilk.

Step 3Spoon batter into pan. Sprinkle top w/ raspberries and remaining sugar. Bake 25 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Great served w/ a dollop of whipped cream.
