How to Make Glazed Orange Cake
- Grease and flour a 10" tube pan, cream butter and sugar until light. Add vanilla, grated orange, eggs one at a time, beating after each.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Beat well after each addition.
- Spoon into greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Cool cake in pan for 2 minutes. Pour glaze over cake in pan.
- For the glaze; heat the butter, sugar and orange juice until the sugar is dissolved. Pour glaze over cake. Allow cake to thoroughly cool in pan.
