These bars are a chewy cake with honey flavor in every bite. The glaze is awesome and so different from a butter cream frosting. Hope you'll love these.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make glazed honey bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 dish with nonstick spray, set aside. In a standard mixer, beat oil, honey, sugar, and egg.
  • Step 2
    Stir the cinnamon into the self rising flour in separate bowl and mix this into sugar mixture and mix well. Stitr in nuts.
  • Step 3
    Spread batter into prepared dish and bake 30 minutes in oven or until center test done. Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes and mix up the glaze.
  • Step 4
    In a bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, mayonnaise, milk, and vanilla. Pour the glaze over the cake and spread it evenly. Let it cool a little, then cut into bars.
