These bars are a chewy cake with honey flavor in every bite. The glaze is awesome and so different from a butter cream frosting. Hope you'll love these.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • GLAZE

  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Glazed Honey Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 dish with nonstick spray, set aside. In a standard mixer, beat oil, honey, sugar, and egg.
  2. Stir the cinnamon into the self rising flour in separate bowl and mix this into sugar mixture and mix well. Stitr in nuts.
  3. Spread batter into prepared dish and bake 30 minutes in oven or until center test done. Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes and mix up the glaze.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, mayonnaise, milk, and vanilla. Pour the glaze over the cake and spread it evenly. Let it cool a little, then cut into bars.
