  • 4 c
    diced or sliced apples (approximately 4 apples)
  • 2 c
  • 2
  • 1 c
    cooking oil
  • 2 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 c

How to Make Fresh Apple Cake


  1. Pour sugar over apples, mix and let stand.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients.
  3. Separate 2 eggs and beat whites until stiff.
  4. Pour cooking oil and egg yolks in with apples and mix.
  5. Add dry ingredients, egg whites and pecans. Mix well.
  6. Pour in tube or bundt pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand 15 minutes before removing from pan.
