fantastic orange cupcakes w/ buttercream frosting
I doctored up an old recipe of mine, for the cupcakes and used a butter cream recipe for the frosting. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 - 16.5 ounces package duncan heinz orange deluxe cake mix
- 1 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 - eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla or for more orange flavoring, use 1/2 orange extract
- FROSTING
- 1 cup softened, butter
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 OR 2 - drops red & yellow food coloring- if you desire orange frosting like i made
- orange - extract to taste
How To Make fantastic orange cupcakes w/ buttercream frosting

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Prepare muffin pan with paper liners or I used silicone cupcake liners. Set aside.

Step 2In a large mixing bowl, add all cake ingredients and beat well. Scrape sides of bowl, make sure all is well incorporated.

Step 3Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full.

Step 4Place in oven and bake 20 - 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean.

Step 5Frosting: Beat butter until nice and fluffy - slowly beat in the confectioners' sugar a little at a time. Beat in vanilla or orange extract & food coloring if using. Frost cooled cupcakes.

Step 6Enjoy! They are a deliciously moist cupcakes and the frosting is yummy!
