I love german chocolate cake, but don't always have time to make itfrom scratch, so I use a cake batter and just add some things, lol. It tastes wondreful, especially warm.

Ingredients

1 box german chocolate cake mix, or just use chocolate cake mix, along w/ ingredients called for on box
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make easy decadent german chocolate cake

Step 1

In lg bowl, mix cake batter and ingredients called for on box. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans and 1/2 cup coconut.

Step 2

Pour into a 9" x 13" pan. Heat oven to 375. Bake cake for 30 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 3

In saucepan, combine sweetened milk, butter and vanilla over medium heat. Cook 5 mins, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining pecans and coconut. Pour over warm cake. Cool. Cut into squares.
