A very simple recipe.I've translated this from a German recipe.A chocolate cake well loved and enjoyed by all who taste it.Served with coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.Sorry but I couldn't calculate the ingredient amounts from the metric system,to do that would've ruined the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams dark baking chocolate(coarsely chopped)
  • 75 milliliters milk
  • 1 - egg
  • 85 grams vanilla flavor sugar(caster sugar infused with vanilla pods)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 40 grams dark baking chocolate(finely chopped)
  • 100 grams flour
  • Half teaspoon baking powder
  • 35 grams grated almonds

How To Make easy and delicious chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl add the butter,milk and the 50grams of coarsely chopped chocolate.Placed the bowl over a saucepan of water.When the water has boiled and the ingredients have melted,stir to combine,remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Step 2
    Add the egg,sugar and salt to a mixing bowl(Stand mixer)and beat until foamy.Add the cooled butter,milk,chocolate mixture and beat to combine.
  • Step 3
    Sieve the flour,baking powder and grated almonds into another bowl.Add the flour,baking powder,grated almonds to the ingredients in mixer bowl.Beat one or two minutes then add finely chopped chocolate.Mixing until combined.
  • Step 4
    Place the mixture in a small baking pan approximately 7 inches long/4 inches wide.In a preheated oven 356F bake cake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
