Ingredients

1
box chocolate cake mix
1 c
chocolate chips
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
rum
small amount powdered sugar
butter
milk (if required)
pecans or walnuts for garnish (if desired)

How to Make Double chocolate Rum cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Make chocolate cake as directed on package. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons vanilla to cake mix.
  • 2Bake at 350 degrees F as directed on package.
  • 3Remove cake from oven and let cool a bit. Make sure it is still warm before adding rum. Poke holes into cake and slowly pour rum over cake.
  • 4Mix powdered sugar with some butter and vanilla (a small amount) and whip, add a bit of milk if needed. Pour over top of cake. Add some pecans or walnuts on top (if desired)
