- 1 1/2 cups shortening
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
How To Make coconut pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

Step 2Cream shortening and sugar.

Step 3Add eggs, beating after each.

Step 4Add milk and flavoring.

Step 5Add sifted dry ingredients.

Step 6NOTE: Be careful not to overbeat.

Step 7Add coconut.

Step 8Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch Bundt pan.

Step 9Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 and 1/2 hours.
