Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1/2 cup butter crisco
- 5 large eggs
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Cream together in a mixing bowl, sugar, butter, and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time to creamed mixture stirring well after each one.

Step 2Sift together dry ingredients. Alternate adding sifted ingredients and liquid ingredients into creamed mixture until all ingredients are blended together.

Step 3Pour into greased 13x9 baking dish and bake at 350 for 1 hour, it may need an extra 10 minutes if not done in center. Test with toothpick.
