I needed something quick , yet special . This uses a cake mix I modified to make it special.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    betty crocker triple fudge chocolate cake mix
  • 2/3 c
    jif peanut butter. separated
  • 1/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    bakers flaked coconut

How to Make Chocolate peanut butter cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Bake cake according to package directions adding 1/3 cup peanut butter to the mix. Bake at 350 using a 13x9x2 in baking pan. Cool slightly
  2. In a saucepan combine evaporated milk, 1/3 cup peanut better, 1 cup brown sugar. Stir till mixture boils, watch it doesn't burn.
  3. When cake is done pour hot mixture over the cake and put under low broil till it bubbles 2 minutes, watch it. Then sprinkle with coconut and broil till coconut lightly browns. Again watch it. Enjoy
