Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make chocolate chip cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9-inch square baking dish. In a large bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
  • Step 2
    Spread half the batter in baking pan. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon- sprinkle over chips. Spread remaining batter on top.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack, and cut into squares. Enjoy!
