Chocolate Chip Cake
Recipe adapted from Taste of Home
1/2 cbutter, softened
1 tspvanilla extract
2 call-purpose flour
1 tspbaking powder
1/2 tspbaking soda
1 c(8 oz) sour cream
1 csemisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cbrown sugar, lightly packed
1 tspground cinnamon
How to Make Chocolate Chip Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
- Spread half the batter in baking pan.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon- sprinkle over chips.
Spread remaining batter on top.
