Chocolate Cherry Cake

1 box(18 ounces) chocolate cake mix
1 can(s)(21 ounces) cherry pie filling
1/2 cbrown sugar
1/3 cwhole milk
1 pkg(12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
How to Make Chocolate Cherry Cake
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, cherry pie filling, vanilla and eggs.
Beat until well mixed, then beat 1 minute at medium speed.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 inch baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
- Frosting: While cake is in oven, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter and milk in large saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla,
Stir with a wire whisk until the chips are melted and frosting is smooth.
- Pour over warm cake and spread to cover.
Cool on wire rack before serving.
