cherry upside down cake
i made this cake for a friend of mine today..she said she liked cherry pie and chocolate cake..so I put the 2 together..and Mmmmmmm. This cake can be made with other cake mixes and prepared pie fillings... combinations are unlimited...this is quick and easy...

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 20 ounces can cherry pie filling
- 18 ounces chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- - white icing,optional, for garnish
How To Make cherry upside down cake

Step 1Heat oven to 350^. Spray a large cake pan- I used my pineapple upside down cake pan from dole.You can use your Wilton daisy cake pan if you have one.

Step 2Smear the butter in the bottom of the pan. Place in oven to melt butter; sprinkle in the brown sugar. Then Spread the can of pie filling over sugar.

Step 3Make cake using the eggs, water and oil. Beat 2 minutes, so it is blended well. pour batter over cherries.

Step 4Bake for about 50 minutes or until tested done with a wooden toothpick. Remove from oven and let set upright for 5 minutes.

Step 5Invert onto cake plate. Cool completely. When completely cooled drizzle white icing over top. enjoy as everyone in my friends office did..Enjoy!
