I found some frozen, pitted cherries in the frozen food aisle and was so excited, no pitting cherries anymore..yippee! So, I made this easy to make cobbler.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen, pitted cherries, thawed
  • 1 cup pear, peeled, chopped
  • 2 - 8 oz cans pineapple chunks, undrained
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil, or vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground

How To Make cherry-pineapple cobbler

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 3-quart rectangualer baking dish w/ cooking spray. In medium bowl, toss together cherries, pear, pineapple, sugar and vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Spoon into baking dish. In lg bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil, and egg. Drop dough into mounds over fruit. In bowl, stir together cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle on top of mounds.
  • Step 3
    Bake 35 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve w/ fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
