caramel apple dump cake

Very easy and oh so delicious. You can use any type of pie filling but I particularly like apple. I remember in the 80s when the dump cakes were all the style but this one has a little bit of a twist to it and it is all for the good.

Ingredients

  • 2 - cans of apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (like you would put on ice cream)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks melted butter (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

How To Make caramel apple dump cake

  • Step 1
    In a greased 9x13 dish, mix caramel and apples together
  • Step 2
    You may add 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I DID!
  • Step 3
    Spread evenly in pan. Pour dry cake mix over apples. spread out to edges. top with melted butter and pecans.
  • Step 4
    Bake 350 for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
