From a Duncan Hines Orange Cake Mix box ... many years ago.

Ingredients

1 18.25 oz packages cake mix, any flavor
2 tablespoons oil
16 oz. - cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
4 - eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup lemon juice

How To Make cake mix cheesecake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Step 2

Set aside one cup of cake mix. In a large bowl, combine remaining cake mix, 1 egg and oil. Press crust mix evenly into the bottom and sides of a sprayed 13x9x2 pan.
Step 3

In another bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar. Add 3 eggs and reserved cake mix. Beat for 1 minute at medium speed.
Step 4

At low speed, slowly add milk and lemon juice. Beat until smooth.
Step 5

Pour into crust. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until center is firm.
Step 6

Chill before serving. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
