This makes enough topping for a 9 X 13 cake. I've used this topping on a variety of cakes over the years and it never fails to draw compliments.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make broiled coconut topping

Step 1Mix all ingredients well and spread on warm cake.

Step 2Place cake under broiler until topping bubbles and browns slightly. Watch carefully as it burns easily.
