How to Make Black Walnut Cake
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray or grease & flour 2 9 inch cake pans or 1 13 x 9 cake pan. Put eggs in large mixing bowl & whisk well. Add remaining ingredients & mix by hand. Pour into pans & bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely.
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 stick butter, room temperature
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup black walnuts
- In bowl mix cream cheese & butter together. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth & fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Stir in black walnuts. Ice cooled cake.
Can sprinkle some walnuts on top if desired.
