Banana Cake with Nutella Frosting

1-1/2 cmashed ripe bananas
2 csifted flour
1/2 tspbaking powder
3/4 tspbaking soda
1/2 cunsalted butter
6 Tbspunsalted butter
2-1/2 to 3 csifted powdered sugar
2 to 4 Tbspheavy cream
How to Make Banana Cake with Nutella Frosting
- Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Blend in buttermilk.
Add mashed bananas alternately with dry ingredients.
Beat until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9 inch pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Can also use a 9 X 13 inch pan.
Cool for 10 minutes in pan and then turn out onto a cooling rack.
Cool completely before frosting.
- FROSTING: In a stand mixer beat butter and Nutella on medium, about 1 minute.
Add in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time. Mixture will appear crumbly.
Add in 2 tbsp. cream and continue beating on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes.
Add additional tbsps. of cream until the frosting reaches a soft spreadable consistency.
I used 4 tbsp. in total.
