What to do with bananas....I usually eat one then the rest get overly ripe. Then they go in the freezer for banana bread....so I took my brownie recipe made some changes and here you go. You can make the frosting thinner or thicker depending on what you like. It is a delightful change from banana bread and brownies. I hope you enjoy it.

prep time 10 Min
cook time 25 Min
method Bake
yield 18 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 3 large bananas(frozen ripe)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • dash salt
  • dash cinammon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 8 ounces philadelphia cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 stick softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make banana brownies with cream cheese frosting

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 11 x 7 baking pan. I used a glass cake pan so you may want to check your brownies while they cook.
  • Step 2
Combine all the wet ingredients. In another bowl combine the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients stirring just enough to combine.
  • Step 3
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Let completely cool
  • Step 4
Frosting. Soften the cream cheese and the butter and then combine. Add vanilla and mix. Add the powdered sugar. I used two cups but you may like your frosting thicker in that case add more powdered sugar.
  • Step 5
    Enjoy
