My husband just loves a baked cheesecake. I don't know why I don't make them more often, they're really not much more difficult than the no bake variety, just takes a bit more time!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pound cream cheese, softened
  • 2 - eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces commercial sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make baked cheesecake

  • Step 1
    Combine graham cracker crumbs, butter and 2 Tbsp sugar, press evenly into bottom of a greased 9-inch spring-form pan. Bake in a 350 oven for 8 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  • Step 2
    With an electric mixer, beat together, cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup sugar, eggs, butter, cornstarch and vanilla until smooth; pour misture into a prepared springform pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until tooth pick inserted into the top comes out clean. Refrigerate overnight before cutting
