How to Make Jewish Apple Cake

  1. Beat together until smooth -- flour, 2.5 cups sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla, oil, eggs, and juice.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix apples, cinnamon and 5 Tbls sugar.
  3. Layer the batter and apples in a greased tube pan, switching back and forth until it is all used up. (I like to end with some batter on top.)
  4. Bake 350 for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours.
