  • 3 c
    flour
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 2 c
    apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 c
    butterscotch chips

How to Make Apple Butterscotch Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, oil, orange juice and vanilla.
    Beat on high speed of an electric mixer until blended. Beat in flour mixture.
    Fold in chopped walnuts.
  3. Pour 1/3 rd of batter into a greased and floured 10 inch Bundt pan.
  4. Mix together chopped apples and butterscotch chips and sprinkle 1/2 of mixture over batter in pan. Repeat layers, ending with batter.
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55-60 minutes.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
