1 can (1 lb. 5 oz) can apple pie filling
1 package spice cake mix
8 tablespoons melted butter
- chopped pecans, optional

How To Make almost homemade brown betty

Step 1

Spread pie filling in bottom of 9x13 baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pie filling. Drizzle top of cake mix with butter (I find it helpful to be sure some gets on edges.) Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if desired. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes
