Ingredients

  • 6 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 lb
    powered sugar
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 4
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2/3 c
    water, room temperature

How to Make All-in-One Cake & Frosting

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Generously grease and flour a bundt baking pan
  2. FROSTING: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla; mix well. Remove 2 1/2 cups of mix, place into a plastic sealable bag; set aside
  3. CAKE: With mixer at slow speed, add eggs to remaining frosting; beat until blended. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to mix alternately with water; mix well
  4. Pour into pan and bake 65-75 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 min. While cake is still warm, use a knife to loosen the cake edges from pan. Top with frosting
