My daughter calls this all gone, because that's what it is shortly after it comes out of the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 - egg
  • 3/4 cup milk, or as needed
  • 1 1 /2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • CRUMB TOPPING
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamonn
  • 1/4 cup butter

How To Make all gone coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Make crumb topping first and then set aside. To make crumb topping: In small bowl, combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine flour sugar baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs (yes, again.) Crack an egg into a measuring cup and then fill with milk to make 1 cup. Stir vanilla into milk and egg. Pour into cake crumb mixture and mix just until moistened. Spread into prepared pan. Sprinkle top with crumb topping.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
