Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
How To Make yankee molasses chip cookies

Step 1Cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add egg and molasses, beating well.

Step 2Combine the flour and the next 5 ingredients; add to the creamed mixture, mixing well, Stir in the chocolate morsels.

Step 3Drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool slightly on the cookie sheet; transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
