I had this recipe for years but i don't remember were i got it. This cookies are awesome. Never any left when i make them.

Ingredients

1/3 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 - egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make world's best chocolate chip cookies

Step 1

Combine shortening, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed until mixed thoroughly. Blend together in small bowl the flour, baking soda and salt; add to shortening mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon full about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350*for 8 to 10 min., or until lightly browned but still soft. Cool on wire rack. makes 4 to 5 dozen
