Even though there are many versions of whoopie pies, this recipe was handed down from my Mother and they always turn out delicious!

Ingredients
- CREAM TOGETHER:
- 6 tablespoons crisco shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 - egg
- BLEND IN:
- 2 cups flour
- 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- FILLING: (I ALWAYS DOUBLE!)
- 3/4 cup crisco shortening
- 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 6 tablespoons marshmallow fluff
- 2 teaspoons milk
How To Make whoopie pies

Step 1cream together shortening and sugar. Add vanilla extract, egg and milk.

Step 2Blend in flour mixture of flour, cocoa,and baking soda.

Step 3Drop by TBLS onto sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 7 min or till tops spring back lightly. Beat together filling ingredients until smooth and fluffy. Cool completely on wire racks. Frost with filling
