  • 1 1/2 CUPS
    lard
  • 3 cups
    sugar
  • 3 t
    soda
  • 1 1/2 cups
    buttermilk
  • 6 cups
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups
    hot water
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3/4 cup
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 3 t
    vanilla extract
  • 3 t
    salt
  • FILLING

  • 3 eggs
    whites
  • 3 t
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup
    crisco
  • 5 T
    milk
  • 3 cups
    powdered sugar
  • BEAT EGGS WHITES TILL STIFF.MIX MILK,POWDERED SUGAR,VANILLA AND CRISCO.ADD EGGS WHITES.PUT FILLING BETWEEN COOKIES LIKE A SANDWICH.

How to Make WHOOPIE PIE COOKIES

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream together lard and sugar.add soda to buttermilk.add remaining ingredients.
  2. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 350* for 5 to 20 min.
